Tara Normal: Chapter #2: Page 16

Don’t forget to check the other comic book I’m currently illustrating: An Inability to Cope. It’s written by Dirk Manning and it’s currently being published online by Image Comics imprint, Shadowline Comics.
Page 7 is now up at their website:

Well, that’s one way to give someone “a piece of your mind.” XD

  • taranormal

Very true, David. Thanks for reading.

I think Paul now needs new pants

  • taranormal

That’s a total spoiler for next week’s page, man!

Drat, you beat me to it.

That is a phenomenal device. I knew Tara was awesome when it came to fighting and saving the ghosts and ghouls but I never knew she was so tech savvy.

  • Bucky

Yay gizmos! I love a good gizmo.

  • taranormal

In this series you’ll see more of Tara’s technical side and her inventions. She has a whole host of inventions and tech in the jacket.

  • Nekohime

For some reason i can imagine a younger Tara with that jacket having a whole bunch of watches and going around saying want to buy a watch. I am sure she sold a lot of them. If only a device like that existed in Real life.

  • Don B.

This is by far my favorite page to date. It’s not so much the tech as how Tara handles a situation that keeps me coming back.

Her sister is in mortal danger and she is taking the time to put some fool in his place?

  • taranormal

Kara isn’t her sister but her cousin. Paul is stopping Tara from entering the hospital and waving an exclusive contract in her face. As he said, he made a deal with the owner of the hospital for exclusive rights to the property. There are cops surrounding it so she’s dealing with Paul as quickly as she can. Thanks for reading!

  • taranormal

    Thank you, Don

And while he’s distracted… BALL KICK!

  • T T

    Cousin, right.

But exclusive deal contract is irrelevant when he is engaging in the criminal act of holding someone against their will. Even if they don’t know about him locking the door, the best he could do is sue her and he will never win because her cousin is in actual danger. Its not breaking an entering if you are doing it to rescue someone from a clear mortal danger.

Any cops around should be taking her side, if they don’t they risk losing their jobs and going to prison themselves

  • taranormal

Firstly, this is all happening in a matter a minutes. The events are going down within a matter of minutes.
The cops are on Tara’s side. The Sheriff is a good friend of her’s.
Kara agreed to be on Ghost Soldiers. She signed to be on it. It’s not against her will. Paul isn’t holding Kara against her will. The ghosts inside the asylum are. Cops can’t arrest ghosts. At least, not in my story.
Paul is trying to force his hand in this situation. He’s rubbing the contract in Tara’s face and using Kara’s current situation against our hero. He’s desperate to get Tara on his TV show. He is immoral and at the end of his rope. His businesses are failing and his show’s rating have dropped.
Like you said, Tara doesn’t have to listen to him. She just wants to save her cousin.
Paul is a minor roadblock so keep reading to find out how Tara deals with him.
